Synthetic Organics

Flowers to me have always been a very clichéd image of romance, femininity, and passion.
Would I like a bouquet of red roses for Valentine's Day? I'd rather a bunch of wildflowers...that however, is also a cliché. Which is why I prefer tulips or alstromerias for birthdays and anniversaries.

Even though I have not fully embraced the symbolism of flowers, I have accepted the symphony of petals, leaves and stems. Displaying their forms on alternate media and surfaces can also make for lovelier things.

What matters is not the fact that we are viewing a bunch of flowers, but rather a rich array of dynamic lines, colors, and organic shapes.
